Huawei Y9a, high on specs low on price but no Google play
It is hard to imagine an android mobile phone with no Google Play Store, no Gmail, Maps, and other Google-made apps and services. Huawei Y9a, launched in September, leaves little to the imagination. The phone, purged with all things Google, comes with its own alternate apps.
Huawei Y9a uses its own version of android 10.0 OS with EMUI 10.1. The powerful Octa-core processor (2 x 2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 + 6 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55) is complemented by 8 GB RAM. The 6.6 inches IPS LCD Capacitive display is capable of showing 16 million colors. Built-in 128 GB of internal storage is a real plus. Not many phones come offering this much internal storage with a price tag of below 44 thousand rupees.
Huawei Y9a has many plus points. Its array of front and back cameras is one point that beats them all. The phone is equipped with quad back cameras. Each camera has a particular role to play. It has a 64 MP primary camera accompanied by 8 MP ultrawide, 2 MP macro, and 2 MP depth cameras.
The phone is supported by a powerful battery but not powerful enough to become its unique selling point. The Li-Po non-removable battery is powered by 4200 mAh. All mobile handset companies are providing at least 4000 mAh batteries in a low-price range.

On the whole Huawei Y9a is a well-balanced handset, and the price factor makes it even more attractive. The only problem or possible inconvenience could arise from the software. The absence of Google Play Store, apps, maps, and other services will through the user out of its comfort zone. Though Huawei has provided every alternate yet it remains to be seen how a user switching to Huawei will react to the new android environment.
The conflict between Huawei and Google is a proxy war between the USA and China. Both countries are engaged in a trade war to establish an economic hegemony over the world. By far, China has shown resolve and resilience. The country of 1.3 billion people is better equipped to take on the economic giants like the USA that is already on a downward trajectory.
Huawei enjoys good repute all over the world, especially in the Asia-Pacific market. There is no doubt that the Huawei Y9a is an excellent phone. It will take time for users to get friendly with the new software. In the meantime, the trade battle between America and China is becoming serious by the day, and many conspiracy theory lovers attribute the Coronavirus pandemic to the conflict between the two countries.
