Humayun Saeed announces “London Nahi Jaunga”
Ever since the success of Main Hoon Shahid Afridi whatever Humayun Saeed touches turns to gold. Be it TV or the silver screen Humayun Saeed productions are equally successful. Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 1 and 2 as well as Punjab Nahi Jaungi are among the top 5 highest grossing Pakistani films of all time.
Humayun Saeed is going all out to continue making quality entertainment films. Not just films, his recent Drama series Mere Paas Tum Ho is getting encouraging reviews. He has made a strong comeback as an actor with Mere Paas Tum Ho written by Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar. Khalil-ur-Rehman is also working on a comedy movie titled Abhinandan Come on.
Humayun Saeed and Khalil-ur-Rehman is a formidable duo. London Nahi Jaunga has brought them together again. The movie is set to be released on Eidul Azha in 2020. The plot of the movie is currently under wraps. It is said that the movie will not be the sequel to Punjab Nahi Jaungi yet we might see familiar faces like Mehwish Hayat, Vasay Chaudhry and Ahmed Ali Butt to name a few.
Pakistan film industry is getting momentum. There are a lot of films in production and preproduction while most of them are sitting on the fence to hit the cinemas soon including the much hyped Zindagi Tamasha directed by Sarmad Khoosat.
London Nahi Jaunga will be directed by Nadeem Baig. Nadeem has directed three films so far and all of them all blockbusters including Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 1 & 2 and Punjab Nahi Jaungi. Things are falling into place once again for Nadeem as London Nahi Jaunga is expected to follow the success of its predecessors.
The revival of Pakistan Film industry started with Shoaib Mansoor’s Khuda Kay Liye in 2007 that encouraged the hibernating talent to wake up to the medium of filmmaking. It has taken more than a decade for the industry to stand on its feet. Now the cinema culture is gradually developing to allow filmmakers to experiment on different genera.
Humayun Saeed had tried his luck in films back in the late 90s but could not get along with it. The norms of filmmaking and production standards were ancient at that time. But now having embraced the modern filmmaking techniques and production facilities Humayun Saeed is turning things around to become one of the successful name in the industry.
