Outfitters factory opens its doors to fight Coronavirus
Desperate times call for desperate measures. The times we are going through are not only desperate but also uniquely unprecedented. There have been great plagues in human history and diseases that devastated the entire continent at times, but Coronavirus has done what no other pandemic could ever do, it rattled the whole world. Outfitters is one of those brands that has risen to the occasion.
The best way to deal with a crisis is to stick to what you do best. Outfitters did exactly that. It opened the factory to stitch protective gear for doctors, paramedical staff, and health workers. The protective gear will include protection suits, masks, and gloves among other things. Outfitters has taken this initiative to play its role in dealing with the current health emergency. The brand will be providing the said items to non-profit health organizations free of cost.
COVID-19 has pushed everyone to the brink of danger. The struggle for survival is the only important thing right now. It is encouraging to see organizations and individuals doing their bit to overcome the situation. Recently, famous fashion designer Asim Jofa has also started producing protective masks and suits to meet the demand for such items in the country.

As more Corona testing equipment is coming in and our capacity to conduct more tests has enhanced, the number of Corona patients are on the rise. The total number of cases in the country has reached an alarming figure of 4005 while the region-wise breakdown is as follows: Punjab 2004, Sindh 986, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 500, Baluchistan 204, Gilgit-Baltistan 211, Islamabad 83 and AJK 18. The total number of deaths in the country is as high as 55.
Coronavirus is an invisible threat that needs to be dealt with caution and carefulness. Every organization and every individual has to play its role. And the most effective part we can play is to stay at home. Social distancing and avoiding physical contact could help eliminate the virus.
Outfitters is doing a commendable job. Organizations that have the capacity and the resources to make a difference should come forward and do whatever they can to help the nation in need.
